Hurriganes - Roadrunner (1974 fin hard rock-rock)

The boys offer entertaining good-timey rock'n'roll, from the hilariously nonsensical "Get On" - all attitude and no point whatsoever - to the smoking covers of "Tallahassee Lassie" and "Roadrunner". "I Will Stay" is even rather pretty. The two tracks credited entirely or in part to 'Mister X' (producer Richard Stanley) aren't quite as good as the rest of the material, but this album is still lots of fun from start to finish.
